Braces or Invisalign?

Braces Or Invisalign? That is the question…

Are you considering Invisalign or braces?  Then you are probably wondering what is the difference? Which one is better for you? Which one is less expensive? Which one is faster?

Invisalign vs Braces:  The Straight Answers…

Invisalign and Braces straighten teeth, give you a more appealing smile and increase your oral health.

Invisalign is clear making it almost invisible. The aligner trays are made of comfortable clear plastic and are worn over your teeth to slowly move your teeth in a straight line.

Braces, on the other hand, are metal brackets that are glued to your teeth, tied by wires and rubber bands. Today you can get colored brackets that match your teeth or you can get them in in bright fashionable colors.

The Differences In Detail…

If the patient is self-conscious, Invisalign tends to be the better option.  If the patient finds removing the trays for meals and drinking inconvenient, Braces tends to be the better option.

Every patient’s situation is different which is why consulting with an Orthodontist is highly recommended before you make your decision.  Example, if you have issues with your back teeth, need to rotate teeth or move teeth vertically, Invisalign may not even be an option for you.   At Holt Orthodontics we offer both Braces and Invisalign.  We also offer a complimentary consultation at our Folsom, Sacramento, and Roseville orthodontic offices and we can determine if Invisalign or Braces are right for you.
